Off-Side Drop Transition Carry

This is the carry profile most often used in the CQB environment. With the long gun slung in this manner, should the weapon fail to fire, for any reason, let it drop and it will fall and hang to your off side, clear of your holstered handgun. You may then draw the handgun and stay in the fight.

Slinging The Weapon

Pull both sling straps away from the weapon.

Grasp the outside sling strap and pull it away from the weapon, creating a loop.

Place the loop over your head.

Place your non-firing hand through the loop.

Slide your arm and shoulder through the loop.

Done!

Performing The Off-Side Drop Transition

Primary weapon fails to fire.

Primary weapon is released and allowed to drop to the off side.

Secondary weapon presentation begins.

Secondary weapon comes on line and the shooter is back in the fight.
